L'idea del lavoro su "Cenerentola" è nata quasi per caso.Una nostra compagna di classe ha infatti, un giorno, portato a scuola la famosa videocassetta in lingua inglese.
Approfittando di due ore di sostituzione l'abbiamo seguita con molta attenzione.
Nella lezione successiva la professoressa Castaldini ha ricostruito, in base alla trama del film, un questionario che, compilato come compito per casa, ci ha permesso di dare risposte esaurienti.
In seguito alla correzione collettiva, ognuno di noi, ha steso un riassunto, poi, riuniti in tre gruppi, abbiamo preparato una scheda di lettura in lingua e illustrato il lavoro con disegni.
CINDERELLA'S STORY
Cinderella is a tall and fair, pretty girl. She lives with her step-mother, a cruel, avid and malicious woman, and her step-sisters: Anastasia and Grisella, two ugly, bad, vain, lazy and spiteful girls.
At home she must do the most menial tasks; she must clean the windows, the floors, she must do the washing up, iron and prepare breakfas, lunch and dinner for the family. She must serve her step-mother and step-sisters and do everything they want.
In the morning she wakes up early and feeds the dog, the chikens and Lucifer, her step-mother's cat; a very fat, stupid, lazy, diabolical animal.
The only Cinderella's friends are the birds and the mice that live in the house, especially Gus, a little, fat, merry mouse, and Jack, a little, thin, cunning mouse.
One day the family receives an invitation for a dancing party at the Royal Palace.
The king, the Prince's father, a fat, nervous man, very short with enormous moustaches, gives the party in honour of his son: the Prince, a very tall and thin, handsome, kind and polite boy.
Cinderella can go to the party, too, but she must do all the houseworks before going, and she must wear a new dress and jewels.
It's impossible for the poor girl to do everything; so her friends,the mice and the birds help her and they prepare a wanderful dress.
But when she is ready to go her envious step-sisters tear up her new derss.
Now she can't go to the party..... and she cries; but with the help of her friends Jack and Gus and her God-mother, a little, fat, generous, nice and forgetful fairy, Cinderella can go to the castle, dressed like a Princess; but........... she must come back at midnight.
When she arrives at the palace, Cinderella dances with the Prince all night, but when midnight strikes, she escape and she loses one of her slippers .
The Prince wants to find Cinderella and he wants that every girl of the county tries on the small glass slipper; but only Cinderella can wear it. Cinderella and the Prince get married and they'll spend a long and happy life together.
