Elisabetta Maschio attends the Conservatory                                                                  "G.Verdi"  in Milan taking piano lessons from Riccardo Risaliti.Starts her     career  as répétiteur with Laurence Foster in Paris and then works in that capacity in numerous theatres and music festivals both in Italy and abroad,such as the Teatro Comunale in Bologna,the Teatro Regio in Torino, the Macerata Festival and the Salzburg Festival.Goes through conductorship under the direction of Edoardo Muller and then of Gustav Kuhn,beeing his assistant  conductor from 1989 to 1992. Her public conducting debut took place in 1991  with the Budapest Staatsoper Orchestra  in a performance of G.Verdi's Trovatore and has regularly been conducting in the operatic repertoire ever since. She had a big personal success at "Macerata Festival" in 1991 conducting "Madama Butterfly". Has conducted at various theatres both in Italy and abroad, such as the Teatro Comunale in Bologna, the Teatro Comunale in Modena, the Teatro Politeama Greco in Lecce, the Teatro "Valli" in Reggio Emilia, the Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza, the Teatro Sistina in Rome, the Auditorium "Pollini" in Padova, the Prague National Theatre and so forth. Has also conducted in both the symphonic and operatic repertoires in Madrid, Budapest, Mexico city, Prague and Bilbao. She conducted such orchestra as the "Virtuosi di Santa Cecilia", the Padua Chamber Orchestra, the Bologna Chamber Orchestra, the "Verdi Sinfonietta" in Trieste, the Marchigiana Philarmonic Orchestra, the Jasi Philarmonic Orchestra (Rumania ), the Staatsoper orchestra in Budapest. In 1995 founds the Sardinia Orchestra of  Youth at Sassari where also works for the Ente Concerti "M . De Carolis" beeing appointed Musical Supervisor from 1995 to 1997 (operatic and symphonic repertoire, chamber music). Over a two-year period in 1996/1997 was appointed musical director  and conductor of the Symphonic Orchestra in Lecce , actively conducting in the symphonic repertoire ranging from eighteenth century to contemporary music. Under her baton played : Anna Caterina Antonacci, Ghena Dimitrova, Giorgio Merighi, Roberto Servile, Bruno Praticň, Andrea Bocelli ( whom with she has recorded some pieces of his first L.P. ), Benedetto Lupo, Pavel Berman, Thomas Demenga, Lucero Tena, Yasuko Hayashij, Leonidas Kavakos. Has teamed up with Lorenzo Mariani, Beppe De Tomasi, Mauro Bolognini, Filippo Crivelli in the staging of opera productions. Has made a CD recording of ancient airs and Italian belcanto for R.C.A. as an accompanying pianist, and also conducted the recording of unpublished pieces  by L.Leo and N.Porpora for "Bongiovanni", as well as a live recording of G.Verdi 's "Falstaff" and Mozart's "Don Giovanni" for Kicco Classic in Milano.
