We all possessed different skills and abilities
but it was for benefit, as we learned much from each other.

Our opinion of work
In September 2003 we started with the GVC project.
The aims were to meet people around the world, to study an important
environmental subject, to get more confidence in the ICT use.
The cooperation…. The
appointment of countries to the team was a random a bit,
but we feel as if we won a lucky lottery
ticket. Our appointment was very successful. Through the increasing
information exchanges, very close bond between teachers and
students was built, despite the Babel of languages
(Russian, Spanish,
Italian and… English) and the different time zones. We
helped each other, everyone with her/his specific competence.
It was wonderful to have an opportunity to communicate with
other teams as well. We’re thankful for their contribution
to one of our tasks and their appreciation of our work. We
were
happy to share our painting talents with some of the teams.
The biodiversity… It
isn’t
only a science subject. Through their researches and reflections,
students found that
to protect the biodiversity means to promote responsible behaviours
towards the environment. To respect biodiversity under all
its aspects means to give our contribution in saving ecosystems
and
species, but also to do something for ourselves, for now and
for the future.
To respect biodiversity means also to meet different people
and to appreciate different ideas and habits…with GVC we learnt
to do it! But we did not only research work. The desire to express
our thoughts better encouraged creative work. It was the task
where everyone showed one’s best abilities and skills.
Usually the word “diversity” has negative meanings:
opponent, antagonist, underling…
Our work led us to give it, instead, positive meanings: beauty,
richness, cooperation…
The site… It
was demanding to integrate our “diversities” in
a single work, that contains ideas, suggestions, investigations
and competences of everybody, but thanks to the technologic task,
to our satisfaction and pride, we can see our efforts packed
in a final product!
