LAUNCHING THE SAILING BOAT:
Sunday may 2nd it seems a good day for the tests , let's start!
Among the amazed people I carry on the beach and assembly all my junk
My boat is wanderful : with her "portuguese rig" she gets admiration and applause by the passing people (no one) . I can already see some manufacturing faults : the sail edge (the leech) gets curled , it needs some battens
There is no wind breath but we decide to leave by oars, hopefully thinking that some wind could be found far off the shore
Rowing toward the wind ( an illusion)
At last we are sailing . At a terrific speed
My assistants champ a little food after the great labour.
Conclusion : the boat needs some improvements beside the sail battens. Sure I must build some floating chambers to get more buoyancy in case of capsizing.
I have already designed and cut the wood , here is it. Also the stern bench will be hermetically closed.
As soon as I've enough free time I'll run to the sea ant test capsizing the boat

I developed the complete boat drawings as dwg files (for autocad and similar programs.
Any mad man who likes to build a "BERNARDA 10'" despite what he saw in this site can contact me by email.
For the payment it's enough to send by fax a photocopied 150 euros (or 160 $) banknote.
