Distribution

Flamingo is distributed in warm climate, Africa, India, Ceylon, South America. In Siberia is very seldom seen.

Description

Weighs about 3-4 kg. Adult birds are white with pink plumage. As bird grows older plumage is brighter.

Behaviour

Flamingos don’t live in groups, far from each other. If nothing disturbs a bird, it can live at one place for a long time. It’s difficult for flamingo to fly, but if something threatening appears it can fly.

Water pollution, drying of lakes. Hunting.
