Jerboa distributed in semi desserts, steppes and forest steppes.

Description

The largest species of family. Length is 19-26 cm, tail reaches 30 cm. Color brown grey or pale grey, it’s white below.

Behaviour

Like to live in places with dense ground. The holes of Jerboa have 1-2 additional exits which are a few cm unfinished. Apart from large constant holes, jerboas have more simple temporal ones and also special holes for winter period. The food consists of seeds of plants, very seldom insects. Jerboas sleep in winter and after awakening in spring they begin to breed. At the end of April females give 1-4 young.
